Brian A Bates is a pediatric emergency medicine physician living and working in San Antonio, Texas. His days are spent caring for children in critical moments, but his time outdoors with a camera in hand offers a grounding balance to that high-intensity work. Photography has become more than a creative outlet — it’s a way for Brian to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and share its quiet brilliance with others.
What began as a personal passion has evolved into a meaningful pursuit of capturing wildlife, landscapes, and monochrome scenes that speak to the soul. Brian’s photography reflects a deep respect for nature, an eye for detail, and a love for the stillness found in wild spaces.
